Vicem Yachts has provided details of the first completed, newly upgraded and delivered Vicem 65 Classic, which boasts elegant lines and a modern, fully customisable interior.

Since 1991, Vicem Yachts has been building an enviable reputation thanks to its focus on creating yachts with almost unsurpassed finish levels. Its newly unveiled Vicem 65 Classic combines traditional composite construction enhanced with advanced cold-moulding and is another fine example of its artisanal skill and craftsmanship.

As expected, the new Vicem 65 Classic captures the boatbuilder’s heritage and hallmarks and blends this with contemporary design, modern interiors and sophisticated lighting.

One of this yacht’s major selling points is the ability for owners to customise the new Vicem 65 Classic to their precise needs. The customisation goes far beyond cosmetics, with owners having the option of introducing significant options such as an atrium galley, full-beam cabins, bunk rooms with hidden Pullmans, and more.

Recently, an American owner received the first customised version of the new Vicem 65 Classic (shown). This yacht used expansive single-pane side glazing to ensure the interior would be flooded with light, enhancing the views. The owner chose a warm, contemporary finish, with teak used for the sole, an oak and pale palette, and gloss surfaces to bring a stylish and modern feel.

As mentioned, owners have many choices when it comes to the layout. This yacht’s owner specified a VIP cabin with an ensuite, a second guest cabin with an ensuite, twin beds that can convert into a double, and a Pullman-style third bunk.

The master cabin is located amidship, benefiting from the boat’s full 5.5m beam. Here, the bed has been positioned transversally on the starboard side with a full vanity unit that can also be used as a desk. Its ensuite runs traverse at the aft end and houses a generous shower, double sink, and separate toilet.

The ensuite makes liberal use of marble, and its positioning allows it to serve as a noise buffer as it helps reduce excessive noise from the engine room from permeating the cabin.

On deck is the cockpit. Here, guests can enjoy an L-shaped settee and a custom cockpit table with a high/low control leg that allows it to be set for cocktails, coffee, or dining. Rounding things off is the foredeck, which boasts sun pads for those keen to ensure the sunshine.

The boat’s interiors and deck spaces are wrapped in a hull and superstructure design that harks back to a golden age. The graceful sheer runs from high bow to low stern, taking in complex curves in the hull.

The result is a yacht with a timeless, graceful profile that portrays poise and performance in equal measure.

Although the American owner’s boat featured above was the first of the newly updated Vicem 65 Classics, the boatbuilder has stated that two more are currently under construction, each with a custom interior.
