Inspired by the encounters between art and design, OMM – Odunpazarı Modern Museum’s OMM Shop is evolving from walk-in trade and mail order to online!
The art world is currently going through a few changes, and one of the most prominent is the evolution of Non-Fungible Tokens, more commonly known as NFT. My personal opinion, which I know will not be shared by others is I see NFT’s as just a fad and cannot see the point in owning intangible art. The beauty of having something physical is you can touch, freely display and hold it, and this is why I’m pleased that the Odunpazarı Modern Museum’s OMM Shop has made a move to go online.
The move to incorporate the online aspect will give art fans, and collectors worldwide the opportunity to purchase, own and proudly display physical works from some of Turkey’s finest artists.
The OMM Shop’s decision creates a global shop window for talented local and international artists, designers and artisans. It will be offering reproductions of the artworks in the museum collection, along with OMM branded items and carefully selected, unique design objects. In addition to this, there will be some rather exclusive collaboration pieces with established and up-and-coming artists.
Some of the special items available from the OMM Shop
Limited edition pieces by Dilara Fındıkoğlu, items printed with artworks by Şarküteri BigBaboli artists, home decoration design products by Day Studio, limited edition 3D printed sculptures of various artists by Unique Board, unique jewellery designs by Esra Dandin, creative stationery by Kağıthane and much more are available via the shop.
Bringing international brands such as Unique Board and Hannah Jewett together with local artists and designers including Bilge Nur Saltık, Ali Bakova and Ulaş Uğur, the OMM Shop selection derives its strength from its unique perspective. There will also be books by OMM Publishing, decorative products and stationery, as well as jewellery pieces and limited edition products in their most exciting and functional forms.
