Frome’s Orchardleigh Wellness is offering guests a sanctuary of serenity within the Somerset countryside with a transformative retreat this autumn. The retreat has been designed specifically for women navigating the complexities of menopause.

The Navigating the Menopause Retreat will take place at Orchardleigh Wellness, near Frome, from October 25th to 27th. It will offer a peaceful and nurturing environment for women to reconnect with themselves while learning tools to manage the challenges of this pivotal life stage.

The Navigating the Menopause Retreat will offer a bespoke programme blending educational workshops with holistic treatments. It combines Yin Yoga for Menopause, Pilates, meditation, breathwork, and sound healing sessions.

Additionally, the retreat features nutritional workshops focusing on hormone health, lifestyle advice, and practical tips for managing menopause symptoms. It also features complementary therapies, including Qigong sessions and the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda—again, with a specific focus on learning practices that bring balance and harmony.

Expert practitioners will share their knowledge across both days of the event. These include Pauline Cox, a renowned functional nutritionist, leader in the field of functional nutrition, and integrative medicine specialist. Hazel Hayden, a British Menopause Society registered Menopause Specialist operating at the Bristol Menopause Clinic, will also provide her expertise to the event.

Orchardleigh Wellness Retreats founder Samantha Newby-Vincent highlighted the importance of creating a supportive space for women navigating menopause. “This retreat offers women the chance to not only escape the daily pressures of life but also to focus on their health and wellbeing during this transformative phase. With guidance from expert therapists, participants will feel empowered to navigate menopause with confidence and clarity.”

Following the October retreat, Orchardleigh Wellness will host a second retreat from November 8th to 10th. This retreat will offer a broader focus on restoring balance and enhancing overall wellness.

This retreat incorporates Pilates, meditation, sound baths, and wild swimming alongside more structured practices like cacao ceremonies, tapping, and nature walks.

The Wellbeing Retreat provides guests with tools to promote both mental and physical health, making use of Orchardleigh’s peaceful setting to encourage relaxation and mindfulness.

To enhance the immersive experience, all meals served at Orchardleigh Wellness retreats are fully vegan and tailored to support the specific goals of each retreat as well as overall health and wellbeing.

For those looking for a new start to 2025, Orchardleigh Wellness is hosting additional retreats from January 2025, including the Cleanse and Rejuvenate Retreat from January 10th to 12th and the Wim Hof Retreat from January 17th to 19th.
