Set on a graceful hillside in a secluded position overlooking Ban Tai beach on the Gulf of Thailand, Orient-Express’ stylish beach resort Napasai has launched a novel new way to enjoy the culinary delights of the hotel’s menu whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Guests can now dine in a carved sand alcove, with the crashing waves providing the soundtrack and the setting sun serving as the backdrop to their evening. With the sand beneath their feet, diners can choose between a fresh sea food barbecue and the fine dining set menu, which will be served to them by their very own private butler.
Taking four hours to create, the private sand nook is surrounded by candles and lanterns, creating the perfect setting for a romantic evening. The ‘sand castle’ will be located in front of the hotel, which boasts the longest private sandy beach on the island and which was turned into a swimmer’s paradise in 2011 with the creation of a 28,000m² crystal clear lagoon and underwater nature reserve.
Prices for the Orient-Express Napasai Sand Castle experience start from approximately £115 per dinner.
