The Peninsula Sky Rink
An ideal way to kick off the festive season is with some time on the Peninsula Sky Rink, which is back for its tenth season. At 200sqm (2,100 sq ft), there’s plenty of space for even the most wobbly skaters. It sits above Michigan Avenue and is surrounded by the city’s iconic skyscrapers and twinkling lights.

This rink has been made even more festive thanks to the holiday-themed music and snowflake lighting. The rink’s menu is also in keeping with the overall atmosphere and features a range of hot beverages and snacks, including hot cider, hot chocolate and many other treats.

Gourmet, Forest-Inspired Yule Log
Co-conceived by The Peninsula Paris’s Pastry Sous-Chef, Anne Coruble, and Executive Chef David Bizet, this year’s festive Yule log evokes sensory memories associated with woodlands. Its organic shape recalls the roots and branches of forest trees, as well as crackling embers in a fireplace.

The log’s flavours conjure the ‘olfactory’ experience of wandering through an apple orchard. Its crunchy chocolate shell contains layers of vanilla ganache infused with grilled apple leaf, a creamy ganache made with applewood-smoked Madagascan chocolate, and smooth apple-infused caramel.
