Pier 7 Café & Bar, a cherished destination on the rooftop of Pier 7, Star Ferry in Central, has been a favourite for casual dining and drinks since its opening in late 2007. After closing in 2018, it has reopened with a refreshed atmosphere and an enticing new menu featuring a Mediterranean twist.
Managed by Cafe Deco Group, one of Hong Kong’s leading hospitality groups, the bar and café invites local gourmands and travellers to enjoy daily Happy Hour specials from 3 pm to 7 pm, offering 20% off the regular drink menu. In the refreshed new space, guests can indulge in a Mediterranean-inspired snack buffet from 8 pm to 10 pm, with free-flowing drinks and lively DJ performances.
The 2025 celebrations will take place on the alfresco terrace, where guests can watch a spectacular fireworks display over Victoria Harbour at midnight. This event will run from 8 pm until midnight on 31 December 2024, with tickets available for sale at HK$750 per person.
Ideal for intimate gatherings, business entertaining, social celebrations or small weddings, the versatile venue boasts an extensive 2,000 square-foot space and an alfresco terrace for some fresh air.
The revitalised décor creates a contemporary setting for guests to enjoy a leisurely lunch or an after-work drink on the water amidst stunning views of the Central skyline and the island waterfront. As the sun sets, guests can revel in a fabulous dress circle view of the spectacular light displays from the nearby city skyscrapers.
An ideal pre-dinner or pre-theatre spot, Pier 7 Café & Bar offers an extensive range of beverages, including classic drinks, a diverse selection of wines from both the old world and new world and various handcrafted innovative cocktails and mocktails.
The new à la carte menu showcases a diverse array of Mediterranean mezzes and sharing plates alongside grilled meat skewers and seafood, highlighting fresh, bold flavours and communal dining. Dishes like Hummus, Muhammara, Baba Ghanoush, and Whipped Feta celebrate plant-based ingredients, encouraging the sharing and exploration of rich Mediterranean traditions.
Another menu highlight is the range of delectable sharing plates featuring savoury and comforting options like chilli-spiced chicken wings and crispy fried semi-dried calamari. Vegetarian choices include flavourful Falafel and crispy Fries tossed with mixed herbs, garlic and truffle oil. Each dish is expertly crafted with innovative techniques, inviting guests to enjoy a vibrant culinary experience.
Semi-buffet lunch is also available from 12 noon to 2 pm daily. Guests can enjoy seasonal mixed salads, such as Greek Potato and Chickpea Salad and Moroccan Cauliflower Couscous, accompanied by a selection of dressings such as Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Harissa Tahini and Fresh Dill Yogurt. The buffet also features a cold appetiser of the day, a choice of pasta or rice, traditional Greek roasted vegetables and a daily soup.
The lunch offer at Pier 7 Café & Bar features a live carving station with succulent roasted meats on rotation, including Roasted Honey Ham, Roasted Corned Beef Brisket, Smoked Pork Loin, Roasted Beef Sirloin and more. Guests can elevate their experience with a sinful dessert for an additional HK$30 net.
Apart from the à la carte menu and seated lunch offerings, grab-and-go options are also available, including innovative jar desserts, along with a series of fresh vegan salads, Overnight Chia Oats, and flavourful Shaker Salad, perfect for a quick, satisfying treat.
