Luxurious Magazine samples gourmet goodies that go straight to your door courtesy of Caprera
The hunt for scrumptious homegrown treats is over for British foodies thanks to a new online shop called Caprera.
While we still love to go and visit our favourite food halls, farmers markets and independent delicatessens, Caprera takes the time and effort away – placing a healthy serving of its carefully curated collection of locally sourced UK goods conveniently right onto your doorstep.
Scouring the entire country, the e-tailer has discovered small, independent UK producers who all have the same desire: to put integrity back into food and drink production and reject mass production. For them all, quality and traceability are paramount. This means goods with artificial substances, genetically modified organisms and synthetic growth hormones are not allowed into the epicurean club.
Charcuterie and cured meats are available to order from The Dorset Charcuterie Company, rapeseed oils from Yare Valley Oils, Indian pickles and chutneys from Cheeky Food, cereals from the Good Granola Company, dried fruit crisps such as courgette and peppers from Nim’s and, with over 75 producers in total on the handpicked list, there’s so much more on the site to explore. Spreads, jams, cakes, biscuits, crisps and cheese feature alongside whiskeys, hot chocolate, tea and cider, as well as gift bundles so you can have everything delivered to you all in one go.
We got to taste Coco Chocolatier’s Hazlenut and Isle of Skye Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Bar, Cotswold Natural Raw Honey from V&L Honeymakers, Maple & Pecan Granola from Grain & Bowl and Pic’s Crunchy Peanut Butter. We also love the sound of the Sweet Raspberry Vinegar from Fred & Bex, Matcha Green Tea from Mighty Matcha, Coconut Cashew from Squirrel Sisters and Kale & Spirulina Crackers from Saf Life.
With the help of Caprera to unite such unique producers, that’s what we call being able to finally ‘taste the difference’.
