Most of the renovation including the 298 guest rooms and suites, corporate meeting venues, reception, hotel driveway, Rendezvous gallery, concierge pavilion, ballroom, Palong bar, and hotel lobby are completed.
Opened in 1998 the iconic the Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapore has redefined Singapore’s city landscape by its majestic building at the heart of the civic, cultural and commercial district along Bras Basah Road. The hotel’s 298 guest rooms, three suites, corporate meeting venues, reception, concierge pavilion and ballroom are refurbished accented with touches of urban conservatorium with lush settings.
Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapores’ 3500 square-foot Straits Ballroom was revamped with custom-designed carpet, elegant wall coverings and lightings with spectacular crown mouldings. Custom motif wall panels would also enhance the Ballroom’s ambiance and the new designed flooring and crystal chandeliers would create beautiful lighting in the airy, sophisticated space ideal for meetings, seminars, conferences, wedding and cocktail events.
Under the refurbishment plan, all of the Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapores’ guest rooms and suites would feature custom designed furniture by the appointed interior design firm WOW D-Lab, with state of the art technology, including 42-inch flat screen LCD televisions and Wi Fi connectivity, for a seamless connectivity and interactivity experience.
Palong
Palong Bar also opened with live music performance on Friday and Saturday evenings to create an atmosphere for patrons who enjoy soothing music as they relax in the arms of the beige designer sofa that sits with a quiet charm. English high tea will also be served from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 5pm for guests to relish a classic in-between meal after a long tiring shopping spree in the heart of Orchard road.
Rendezvous Gallery
The Rendezvous Gallery, a new dining concept at RHS, is a tranquil urban reprieve amidst the hustle and bustle of the Orchard Road and Bras Basah areas, where diners at the new restaurants and cafe would bask in natural sunlight during the day.
Lush marbles and Southeast Asia handmade decorative tiles would lend the Rendezvous Gallery an opulence to further promote Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapores’ long Asian heritage. Botanical themes would also resonate throughout the Gallery, including the courtyard screens and a full height signature feature wall of Asian theme to let its guests and visitors luxuriate amidst the greenery – where food and heritage meet.
Hotel’s Driveway
The hotel’s current driveway and drop-off point would be widen to a new round-about, with an elaborately designed canopy of varying densities of light filtering through aluminium panels of plant motifs akin to Asian decorative tiles, to welcome its guests and visitors.
