RS AV Solutions, the British Audio-visual and automation specialist, hosted an exclusive three-day event at the flagship showroom of interior design specialist, Muralto UK, in Central London, to launch the Meridian “Audio Secrets” guide for designers.
The guide has been created to build knowledge and awareness around key aspects of specifying the right sound system within a property including “what affects good sound?”
Allen Boothroyd, co-founder of Meridian Audio, Britain’s leading specialist manufacturer of high-end audio and video entertainment systems based in Cambridgeshire (UK), personally presented the book in addition to showcasing some of Meridian’s iconic innovations, including the Lecson Audio system which was selected in 1976 for the New York Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) permanent collection, and was also on show at this year’s British Design exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
The event was aimed at the design community to tie in with the 2012 London Design Festival, of which RS AV Solutions are a partner and included a rare Q&A session with Allen, who is the only designer to have won three prestigious British Design Council Awards.
Rob Sullivan, Owner of RS AV Solutions, said: “It was great to hold an event which showcased the great British, award winning brand – Meridian – and demonstrated how design has evolved from the 1970’s. We were really pleased to see a wide range of people come to our showroom and it gave us the ability to demonstrate great looking and performing systems within a relaxed, lifestyle environment”
He added: “The Meridian timeline area was a great hit. The M1’s as a working system was a great success, which are Meridian’s first active loudspeaker for the home, developed in 1977.
