Holidaymakers in search of both polar expedition sailing and warm water exploration in an ultra-luxury environment needn’t look further than Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours with the countdown to the arrival of its latest ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, now on.
It’s less than two months until the 228-person yacht departs on its inaugural sailing, which will be an 11-day ‘Incredible Iberian Discovery’, cruising from Lisbon to Barcelona, on 12 April – before Scenic’s new yacht embarks on its summer season exploring the Mediterranean, Iceland and Scotland.
With just a handful of suites left in its inaugural season, those booking a 2023 yacht cruise onboard Scenic Eclipse II before 30 March can enjoy free business class flights and savings of up to £2,000 per person.
As the exterior painting of Scenic Eclipse II has finished, and the yacht leaves Dry Dock for the final stages of interior fitting and completion, Scenic’s owners, Glen and Karen Moroney have released new details on several exciting enhancements, which include:
The Scenic Eclipse II benefits from newly designed Sky Decks’ which boast 270-degree views. In addition, they will have a brand-new Sky Bar, replete with seating indoors and out.
Also, guests will appreciate relaxing in the six private cabanas; they will be an ideal place to enjoy the incredible views and perhaps enjoy a drink or two.
A large, oval-shaped Vitality Pool on the Sky Deck comes in at 8.9m (29ft) by 3.5m (11.5ft). Swim jets offer guests the ability to swim ‘laps,’ and glass panels surrounding the pool and nearby stairs have been raised higher to block any wind and maximize guest comfort.
Both ultra-luxury yachts host the expansive 550m² (5,920ft²) Senses Spa with some added features on Scenic Eclipse II. In addition to the dedicated male and female wellness areas appointed with therapy rooms, saunas, steam room, temperature-controlled plunge pools, relaxation lounges, a manicure/pedicure studio, and an outdoor terrace, found on both yachts, The Senses Spa on Scenic Eclipse II has an expanded steam room to accommodate aromatherapy, an integrated ice fountain and experience showers.
A new KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds and aromatherapy scents is designed to benefit the mind, body and soul. Both yachts feature the only dedicated Yoga and Pilates studio on ships of their size.
Due to the success of the state-of-the-art KLAFS Infrared chairs on Scenic Eclipse, designed to relieve back pain and encourage muscle relaxation, an expanded dedicated infrared ‘ocean view’ lounge with colour light therapy to energize and reinvigorate skin cells has also been introduced into the wellness area on board Scenic Eclipse II.
Scenic Eclipse fleet’s culinary offerings will be one of the biggest highlights for many thanks to ten dining experiences designed to win over the most discerning palate.
Scenic Epicure has always been popular, showcasing dedicated cooking master classes and tasting events with onboard chefs, and Scenic Eclipse II offers a new layout for a more immersive guest experience.
Instead of individual stations, the newly named Chef’s Garden @ Epicure features a dining and presentation table able to accommodate up to 14 standing or seven seated guests, making a great space for groups and VIP gatherings or even closed-door private dining.
There is also a hydroponic herb garden, which is just one of the extraordinary elements that will make this a very special venue on both Scenic Eclipse yachts.
With the introduction of Scenic Eclipse II, the ultra-luxury cruise operator will sail to over 50 countries across all seven continents in 2023.
