Luxury cruise line Cunard in partnership with Clarendon Fine Art is refining the art connoisseurs travel experience with the appointment of one of the UK’s foremost impressionist artists, Sherree Valentine-Daines as Artist in Residence.
As Artist in Residence, Ms. Valentine-Daines will sail with Cunard’s Three Queens (Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria), making her inaugural appearance in the role on board Queen Victoria in September 2019.
Widely celebrated as the ‘Face of Modern British Impressionism’, Ms. Valentine-Daines was acclaimed as ‘Artist to the Stars’ by the Daily Express; while her work has recently been celebrated in Hello! Magazine.
With a star-studded line-up of celebrity portraiture and sitters, Ms. Valentine-Daines has captured Joanna Lumley, Lord Sebastian Coe, Sir Michael Parkinson and Dame Vera Lynn as well as English Rugby Union star Jonny Wilkinson.
Most notably, Ms. Valentine-Daines’ was commissioned by the organisers of The Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations to produce a painting as a birthday gift for Her Majesty; a rare privilege for even the most renowned of artists.

Programme and Voyage Details:
Cunard’s Artist in Residence Programme with Ms Valentine Daines will feature live painting demonstrations, an unveiling of a bespoke original painting and exclusive cocktail functions within the Clarendon Fine Art Gallery. There will also be “an audience with Sherree Valentine Daines” and a book signing event.
Additionally, Cunard guests will enjoy first-hand access to the artist as she will host dinner tables along with the Captain and other VIP guests.
The programme will be offered onboard all three Queens, launching on Queen Victoria during her 3 – 6 September 2019 voyage (V921). It will later be offered aboard Queen Elizabeth (Q926) from 1 – 4 October. Sherree Valentine-Daines will be on board Queen Mary 2 (M017) between 7 – 14 June 2020.
