Sunborn London, the capital’s only superyacht hotel has announced it will reopen on the 4th July 2020 along with a range of new measures designed to ensure guests have a luxurious and safe stay.

Although the hospitality sector has had its doors closed for four months, it does seem a lot longer doesn’t it? Countless British businesses have had to sit on their hands, waiting for the time when it will be safe to reopen. Fortunately, that time has almost arrived.

With a view to the future, the nation’s favourite hotels have been spending their time updating existing procedures and adding a whole range of new ones to ensure guest have the most enjoyable experience possible.

Of all the stunning hotels in our list of favourites, one of the most eyecatching is Sunborn London which we’ve written about extensively in the past. It’s a floating superyacht hotel and it the only hotel of its type in the capital. For those who are yet to experience its opulence, it is located in the Royal Victoria Docks, moored by the ExCel centre.

Interestingly, although we’ve alluded that Sunborn London was one of the hotels closing its doors, in fact, it was the complete opposite.

Throughout the lockdown, Sunborn London provided logistical support to NHS and key workers at the Nightingale Hospital by offering accommodation in its 136 luxurious guest rooms. And on top of this, they even provided breakfast and dinner from its Land’s End Restaurant.

This is one of the reasons we’re fans of Sunborn London, they are a nice, considerate bunch and the kindness they’ve shown to the UK’s key workers reaffirms this.

Aside from helping the country’s ‘Angels’ they also were able to gain an edge over other hotels in the capital. In looking after the NHS and Key Workers, there were able to hone their operations, providing their staff with some first-hand experience of the intensive cleaning and sanitisation that would be necessary for when guests return.

In light of this, Sunborn London has implemented hospital-grade sanitisation of all rooms and public spaces, let’s be honest, you cannot expect more than that!

Although some readers might be concerned that all this extra care and attention might impact their holiday, rest assured it will not. Sunborn London understands that a warm welcome upon arrival is paramount and ongoing interaction with staff creates a warmer friendlier feel.

Although the health and safety of their guests is Sunborn London’s main priority, they will be ensuring that none of the warmth, high-standards and their renowned attention to detail will be missing.

Let’s take a look at some of the new procedures they’ve put in place:

Rigorous training programme for all staff members
