The elegant Eccleston Square Hotel hotel in Pimlico, London welcomes the French inspired restaurant Tapas 37 inside it’s luxurious walls
Olivia and James Byrne, the young owners of Eccleston Square Hotel have teamed up Matt Laville to create ‘Tapas 37’, SW1’s first French-inspired Tapas restaurant.
Inspired by the desire to share small French family dishes the siblings enjoyed whilst growing up in Paris they sought out the skills and enthusiasm of Matt Laville whose career so far has seen him in the kitchens of some of the world’s finest restaurants, including Gordon Ramsey at Claridge’s, Maze, Pollen Street Social and Arzak in San Sebastian.
Says Olivia, “We’ve taken charming little recipes that we loved as children, like ‘Accras de morue’ and ‘Beef Bourgignon’ and have created Parisian-esque Pintxos – smaller portions, but explosive in flavor.”
Tapas 37 will sate your appetite with little dishes of deliciousness; petite but rich with just the right amount of everything to satisfy the taste buds and senses; plates on the new menu include Hake, piperade with fried egg which, Oxtail doughnut with a miso dressing and crispy stuffed courgette flower with truffle honey.
Matt Laville says, “Whilst in San Sebastian at Arzak, I spent time travelling around the regions, understanding the social influence this way of eating has on diners; it’s a beautiful way to share food and time with friends. I’m very proud to be working with the team at Eccleston Square Hotel.”
