For something extra special this Christmas, head to The Dilly in London’s Piccadilly, which will be celebrating Christmas for the very first time. The luxury hotel has unveiled a programme of festive events that includes masterclasses, a new festive menu, carol singers and a not-to-be-missed afternoon tea.
This Christmas, why not be part of a first? For the very first time, The Dilly will be officially celebrating Christmas, and to make it extra special for everyone, they’ve put together a jam-packed festive programme of events that will make any stay or visit a memorable one.
The Dilly has many plus points we could talk about, but one of its biggest attractions is where it is located. The new luxury hotel is only a short walk from Fortnum & Mason, Bond Street’s Christmas lights, London’s Christmas markets and exclusive shopping districts, as well as the West End’s theatres. It is a fantastic place for a classically London Christmas getaway, and in addition, you’ll also be able to see Piccadilly’s famous Christmas lights from its balconies.
First opened in 1908 as The Piccadilly Hotel, the iconic London hotel has played host to many show-stopping Christmas parties over the years and knows how to put on a good show. For its first Christmas as a new independent hotel, a visit to The Dilly is sure to be one to remember.
For Christmas, guests will be greeted by a 14ft Christmas tree designed by Pulbrook & Gould, the luxury London florists. And on selected dates¹ from 3rd December, there will be traditional Christmas carols by Oriana Choir, who will be raising money for The Dilly’s partner charity, St James’s Church Piccadilly Winter Night Shelter.
In preparation for the festive season, The Dilly will be hosting luxury wreath-making masterclasses in collaboration with Pulbrook & Gould, with the first event taking place on the evening of Monday 6th December and bookable via Pulbrook & Gould’s website. The intimate classes will be run by experienced florists and accompanied by a glass of Chapel Down English sparkling wine, London sourced soft drinks and canapés.
At the end of the session, all guests will take home their handmade wreath to proudly display on their front doors. Private wreath-making classes at The Dilly are also bookable upon request and subject to availability for Christmas parties.
The Dilly’s restaurant, Terrace at The Dilly, sits under glass slanting ceilings and is home to the only outdoor terrace that overlooks Piccadilly. Guests can dine with the feeling of being outdoors but sheltered from the cold, with Piccadilly’s Christmas lights shining from the street below.
This Christmas, The Dilly’s Official Peter Rabbit™ Afternoon Tea brings to life the classic story by London author Beatrix Potter, with a festive twist for children and adults alike. Seven days a week, the festive afternoon tea will feature a selection of savoury and sweet treats finished with an edible snowman made from meringue created by The Dilly’s Head Pastry Chef.
The festive menu on the Terrace will run from 15th November with festive lunch served Monday to Friday, and festive dinner served every day of the week, including festive favourites such as Christmas turkey from IMS Smithfields local butchery. Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, and Soho are right on The Dilly’s doorstep to continue the Christmas party.
Dilly’s full Christmas brochure can be found here, and its range of gift cards and experience vouchers can be found here. Room categories range from Dilly Classic Room to Dilly Executive Suite.
