The Sarojin has launched the ‘Sarojin Cares Honeymoon’ package for couples wanting a honeymoon that goes beyond romance and gives back to the local community during their visit.
The Sarojin in Thailand is a luxurious 56-room boutique residence and is one of those rare places that can almost guarantee to give you memories to last for a lifetime. It’s been one of our favourites luxury destinations for many years, and it’s hard to think of anything they could do to make it more enticing for guests.
Little do we know! The luxury resort has come up trumps with its new ‘Sarojin Cares Honeymoon’ package. The new and enticing offering combines some of its most popular romantic activities with unforgettable and rewarding excursions that benefit those most in need around the resort.
The package consists of a seven-night break in a Garden Residence which for most people would be enough. But here’s where it becomes even more interesting; The package also includes a Street Food, Cook For Kids cooking class at the local Camillian Social Centre, a Little Amazon Canoeing & Mangrove Planting excursion (below), a ‘Just for Two’ Private Dining experience on a candlelit beach, a 90-minute spa Royal Oriental treatment each, a local Buddhist Blessing of Love.
If this wasn’t enough, guests can treat themselves to all-day a la carte breakfast with sparkling wine, and the package also includes private transfers to/from Phuket International Airport.
With all the love in the air, why not share some by joining The Sarojin team on their regular ‘Sarojin Cares’ volunteer days in the local community or take part in the resort’s ongoing beach cleaning activities. A complimentary Garden Tour is also offered to those wanting to learn about Khao Lak’s local wildlife, where guests can experience hand-feeding bananas to the resort’s endearing resident squirrels.
The stay starts with a couple’s cooking class at the local Camillian Social Centre, which cares for disabled children. The Street Food, Cook For Kids experience, sees loved ones working together to create a delicious Thai feast to share with the children, under the expert guidance of The Sarojin’s Executive Chef Gogh. The excursion includes a visit to a local food market and is a truly rewarding experience that is both loved by the children and provides vital interaction and support for the centre.
Back at the resort, for the restoration of body and mind, the package includes a relaxing 90-minute spa Royal Oriental treatment each at The Sarojin’s Pathways Spa. A secluded haven surrounded by coconut groves and lush greenery, the spa’s indoor treatment rooms and open-air pavilions are an ideal retreat for those wanting to indulge in some post-wedding rejuvenation.
Couples will also be treated to a memorable sunrise Spiritual Blessing of Love from a Thai Buddhist monk at a local temple as part of the package. The ceremony is held while the sun rises and during it, a monk will gently pour holy water over the guests while reciting ancient mantras to cleanse the spirit – it’s the perfect start to married life.
As part of the package, couples can also enjoy a Little Amazon Canoeing & Mangrove Planting excursion, taking to the waters around Khao Lak by canoe to explore and help replant the vital mangrove habitat in the local area whilst taking in the breath-taking coastal views of Khao Lak. Much of the mangrove system was damaged in the 2004 tsunami, and ongoing repairs are still needed, which this excursion contributes to.
One of the most amazing things to experience at The Sarojin is the ‘Just for two’ private dining experience. This takes place on secluded white sand beach 1km long. Here you’ll be able to enjoy a very special beach BBQ while taking in all the natural beauty around you. As the night falls, the beach becomes illuminated by candles creating the perfect romantic atmosphere.
