Aussie coffee and brunch independent Daisy Green is set to open in Victoria’s newest upscale development, Nova, this October with ‘Timmy Green’

Timmy, named after founder Prue Freeman’s late brother, a true Australian cowboy whose life was devoted to the land and whose legacy inspires much of the menu, will focus on prime grass-fed meats and childhood-inspired small plates in addition to their much-loved Aussie brunch. Ironically, the new location will sit just footsteps from where the independent first started trading in 2012.

The 150 cover venue set over two floors with alfresco coffee bar, extended outdoor seating area and mini grand piano will move effortlessly from casual coffee spot to buzzing evening bar and restaurant. Extensive local craft beers will compliment an almost all Australian natural wine list and an innovative collection of house cocktails.

Look out for:

  • The massive side of prime lamb, barbequed whole on the Josper grill/oven and expertly carved at the table, served with miso mustard sauce and hand cut triple cooked duck fat fries
  • The popcorn shrimp sandwich
  • The ‘Daisy garden’ house made dips with sticky sesame radishes
  • The famous banana bread sandwich with mascarpone, berries, honey and almonds
  • The fancy bacon roll with The Ribman’s Holy F*ck hollandaise sauce

Interiors will create an inspired, calm oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city life by blending extended planting, reclaimed oak and canvas fabrics with Carrera marble, lacquered brass and two huge private commission art pieces.

Christmas party bookings for Timmy Green are also being taken now – with full festive dinner packages from £45 per person, music from the mini grand piano and a live Instagram printer, Timmy is sure to be a Christmas party crowd-pleaser.

Timmy Green – Where and how

Timmy Green will launch at Nova Victoria in October 2016, and be open seven days a week from 7am until late. A soft launch period will run from 20th – 27th October. Bookings for sittings from 8th November are now being taken via reservations@daisygreenfood.com (bookings via Open Table available soon). They will be offering an extensive range of Christmas dining options for groups during the festive season.
