2020 has been a strange one for employers. Around the country, people have been continuing to work, but many are now doing so from home. With Christmas on the horizon, how do you bring everyone together to celebrate the year? One way could be through a virtual cooking session with Ruth.
It’s tradition to get all workers together to celebrate the year and just as importantly to bond. This year will be a little different, and for the first time, it’s highly likely not everyone will be in the same place. This dilemma will probably be causing more than a few headaches for CEO’s, managers and HR personnel. Thankfully, Ruth’s Little Kitchen has come up with a solution, and it’s COVID-19 safe.
This Christmas, instead of a few isolated calls here and there, bring everyone together with award-winning baker Ruth for a bespoke, festive online cooking class where the festive cheer will be flowing, all from the comfort of their own homes.
Each cook-along with be live-streamed from Ruth’s Little Kitchen HQ in the picturesque village of Brockham, Surrey, with her charming cottage kitchen backdrop setting the perfect scene for teams to tune in for.
Organisers will be able to choose from a variety of festive recipe choices such as Traditional Mince Pies, Yule Log, a Gingerbread Christmas Wreath or a selection of Christmas Nibbles including Cheese Biscuits, Festive Pastries and meat or veggie-based Sausage Rolls. They can even add on a mulled winemaking session. Nothing quite like team bonding over mulled wine!
“My ethos is simple and authentic: cook, teach, share and eat. Baking doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that, and I can ensure that there will be lots of fun on the way.”
Recipe sheets are provided along with ingredients, equipment, and ideas on how to make the winning entry and costs start from just £15 per person (costs will vary), with a minimum of six people.
Over lockdown, Ruth hosted live cook-along’s across Instagram, Zoom, and Google Teams following her 2019 Gold win at the World Bread Awards following a positive response to her bakery and cooking school. Ruth was also the regional winner for the South East, in the Bread Hero Awards 2020.
