Whisky Partners, specialists in the whisky investment and acquisition sector, has launched an exclusive new whisky called Bonnington Whisky, which was matured in V.S.O.P. Cognac Barriques.

This unique product combines the newly launched Bonnington Distillery with the prestige of fresh Cognac casks from a leading cognac brand co-owned by a famous rapper. Whisky Partners is the only company offering these casks to the market.

The unique maturation process in these French Oak Cognac Barriques aligns with the growing interest among whisky enthusiasts in ageing whisky in cognac casks. While sherry cask maturation has long been celebrated, cognac cask whisky remains a rarer and more exclusive offering.

Alistair Moncrieff (right), Founder of Whisky Partners, commented, “It is a joy to introduce the Bonnington Whisky matured in French Oak Cognac Barriques exclusively to our customers. The collaboration demonstrates our commitment to innovation and offering customers unparalleled experiences – sourcing and offering unique and prestigious casks that appeal to discerning collectors and connoisseurs.”

Established in 2019 and commencing production in 2020, Bonington Distillery occupies the site of a former coach works near the original Bonnington grain whisky distillery in Leith.

The distillery features twin-linked receivers, creating two distinct spirit types from a single distillation, blending modern technology with traditional craftsmanship.
