No trip to Dubai can be complete without visiting the wide open plains of the desert and seeing indigenous wildlife such as the Arabian Oryx, known in Arabic as “Al Maha”, in its natural habitat.
Now you can experience all the solitude and tranquillity of the desert in new day trip excursions, to Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa.
The resort’s day packages are tailor-made to showcase this small and exclusive 5* Resort, ranked #1 Hotel in Dubai by Tripadvisor and nestled into the dunes deep within the desert, 65 km from Dubai City.
Prior to this year, only residents at Al Maha could enjoy the world-class spa facilities and dine at Al Diwaan, where guests may enjoy an alfresco lunch on the veranda with breathtaking views of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.
3 day trip excursions are available, all which include the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve entrance fee:

Resembling a Bedouin encampment and reflecting old-style Arabian architecture, Al Maha has the largest private collection of original Arabian antiques and artworks in the Gulf. The Resort is an important repository for over 2,000 historic and rare pieces of artwork, weaponry, traditional jewellry and Bedouin artisan handicrafts. As such it has won awards for its contribution towards the preservation of the region’s heritage and culture.
Al Maha has just 42 private suites, so guests enjoy the highest level of luxury and exclusive privacy, whilst enjoying delightful views of indigenous wildlife from their suite’s own private infinity pool and deck area.
“Visitors to the resort can now enjoy the matchless hospitality and dining experience, privacy, natural beauty and absolute comfort of Al Maha, without having to spend the night,” said Arne Silvis, General Manager, Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa.
Corporate packages at the resort have also been enhanced. Companies can now enjoy an experience that could include a dune dinner or participating in exciting desert activities such as falconry, archery or a desert safari. Activities, lunches and dinners can all be tailor-made depending on the requirements of the company.
