Today marks the opening of three new venues at 19 Motcomb Street in the City of Westminster’s Belgravia district in London. Below, we look at what the restaurants Amélie, SACHI, and LUUM, a late-night lounge, have to offer.

Amélie

Amélie, an elegant Provençal restaurant where Mediterranean flavours and artistic ambience take centre-stage, will open today on the ground floor of 19 Motcomb Street, helmed by Head Chef Steve Raveneau and General Manager Rudolph Galand.

The restaurant is an ode to the spirit of the “bon vivant” and the flavours of the Riviera. It serves lunch and dinner for guests to enjoy from day to night.

In addition, the restaurant also offers a unique dining experience with its ground floor, which has a grand staircase leading up to a mezzanine dining area alongside an outdoor terrace inspired by the Côte d’Azur.

The terrace is adorned with elegant tones, rich textures, and tasselled parasols, bringing a touch of glamour to 19 Motcomb. Améliet will showcase live entertainment and experiences, from DJs to live music, for events and special occasions.

SACHI

Japanese restaurant SACHI has relaunched today with renewed vibrancy and energy. The restaurant spans the second floor and rooftop of the former Pantechnicon building. It focuses on dining, including an omakase counter and an open kitchen, where guests can witness the craftsmanship behind the dishes.

Its rooftop bar will be a place for guests to enjoy sake, cocktails and sharing plates, whilst taking in the views and listening to live music.

The restaurant team is spearheaded by Culinary Director Chef Kyung-Soo Moon and Head Chef Joonsu Park, alongside General Manager Andreas Gonzalez, formerly of D & D London and then Bob Bob Richard. The team priorities include craftsmanship, innovation, and attention to detail, with ceramic Sake Carafes and other ceramics, all made by Mihaly Herczeg in London.

LUUM

The sophisticated late-night lounge LUUM, which is infused with the spirit of Mexican heritage and culture, has also opened today. LUUM is a lounge infused with colonial romanticism, rich colours and textures, a focus on mixology, soulful sounds, and an ambience reminiscent of a bygone era.

Under the leadership of General Manager Stefano Chila’ (formerly of Chiltern Firehouse and Annabel’s), LUUM showcases a weekly schedule of curated live music with a host of international DJs.

Complementing the curated cocktail menu, which includes cocktails from Purple Roots (Tequila, Mezcal, Sherry, Purple Carrot, and Black Pepper) through to Prickly Fingers (Tequila, Lime, and Cactus Pear), its culinary offerings include a menu curated by Mexican Michelin-trained chef Coko Becker, which will showcase small plates made from fresh ingredients, bold spices, and authentic recipes.

The LUUM menu features a selection of tacos, ceviche, and shareable dishes, each crafted with a modern twist while honouring traditional flavours.
