One of the world’s rarest supercars, a Spyker C8 Spyder will go under the auctioneers’ hammer at Aston Barclay Group’s Chelmsford centre later this month.
The Group has been called upon to auction a Spyker C8 Spyder which sells for more than £195,000 when new. Registered in 2007, this car is number 175 of 250 ever built, it has covered less than 5,000 miles and is capable of 0-62mph in little over four seconds and has a 190mph top speed.
David Scarborough, Aston Barclay’s Commercial Director, said: “Outside of the classic car sector, Spyker Spyders are arguably among the rarest cars on the planet. It is a sublime example and has been maintained to the highest standards.”
He added: “Spykers scarcely come to auction here in the UK so, for Aston Barclay, auctioning such a fine example is undoubtedly a coup; it’s the automotive equivalent of auctioning a fine masterpiece.”
The Spyker C8 Spyder will be included in Aston Barclay Chelmsford’s regular Wednesday sale commencing at 10.30am on March 21.
