London-born global lifestyle brand, Cath Kidston opened the doors to its first-ever store in Malaysia at top retail destination Mid Valley Megamall.
Brought in by Singapore-based Norbreeze Group, Cath Kidston welcomed their first 200 customers with a special gift of a RM50 store voucher to enjoy.
Having first launched the brand in 1993, Cath Kidston creates modern product that is fit for today, inspired by nostalgia and Cath’s own childhood in the English Countryside. Cath Kidston products are useful, everyday things which are fun and of good value. Vintage inspired prints in modern colours transform everyday products into must-have items. The brand offers full collections across accessories, home-wear, women’s clothing and kids.

The 110 square meters store at Malaysia’s, Mid Valley Megamall carries the brand’s popular range of bags, wallets, purses and pouches featuring the iconic Cath Kidston prints, as well as apparel, accessories, stationery, home-ware, children-wear and bathroom products such as hand creams and lip balms. The Cath Kidston store is a cheerful brand experience with iconic antique rose prints lining the walls of the store, creating a modern vintage vibe. Wooden shelving and floorboards evoke a warm and homely space.
The Winter 2013 collection will debut in-store, introducing brand new prints such as Garden Birds, Mushroom and Pony. The Wild Pony and Garden Bird prints will be seen on new shape bags and easy to wear dresses and skirts, while signature blooms make an appearance on seasonal must-haves. Cheerful prints such as Mushroom and Big Spot prints are also featured across the range, adding a flash of colour to your home or wardrobe.
Cath Kidston started out with a budget of £15,000 when she opened her first store between Notting Hill and Holland Park in London. Using her start-up capital to create her first print called Rose Bouquet which was inspired by traditional rose print wallpaper she saw in Wales. Later, using vintage fabric finds, she began creating her own products including cushion covers, cotton bags and flowery ironing board covers which was all made from vintage fabrics.
Today, there are 59 Cath Kidston stores and concessions in the UK and Ireland and 54 across Spain, Japan, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and now Malaysia.
