We are always excited when Hasselblad AG launches a new luxury product, so imagine our excitement when we found it that it was not just one, but three new Stellar special editions.
The iconic camera manufacturer ventured into the world of luxury this year with the launch of the Hasselblad Lunar and recently followed this up with the Stellar, a compact luxury digital camera that makes the Hasselblad range affordable to a much wider consumer base. Luxurious Magazine attended the Italian launch of the Stellar in Milan during the Summer of this year and our award-winning Italian photographer Simone Zeffiro (who attended on our behalf) knew instantly that this was a camera luxury aficionados would want to own, use and be seen with. Unlike the majority of the Hasselblad Camera range, the Stellar model is aimed squarely at the amateur and enthusiast market, this opens a huge new audience to the brand. The three new, special edition Stellar models offer photographers the choice of new camera body colours: black, white and orange – and are shipped out with bespoke camera cases in black or white leather with Hasselblad signature stitching and shoulder and wrist straps.
Hasselblad New Business Development Director, Luca Alessandrini commented: “The launch of our Stellar brand in July was a great success and now we are offering discerning customers new options on this outstanding point and shoot camera. Stellar Special Edition models are now available with carbon fibre, padouk or wenge wood grips and come with exclusive leather cases specially designed at our elite Italy-based Design Centre.”
All of the Hasselblad Stellar compact cameras incorporate advanced imaging technology, Carl Zeiss lenses, Full High-definition (HD) video and a 3.6 x optical zoom capability, add to this the Stellars wide range ISO sensitivity that allows the user to shoot in almost any light and it becomes the perfect entry point for enthusiasts to venture into the world of Hasselblad.
