The Homi Fashion&Jewels Exhibition is returning from 17th to February 20th at Fiera Milano (Rho), with a renewed format and a packed programme of initiatives that will reaffirm its significance in the industry.
With a strong international vocation, the exhibition will showcase excellence and future trends via more than six-hundred brands, 30% of which come from 22 different European Countries, with some of the leading exhibitors hailing from France, Greece and Spain.
On display will be increasingly fashionable, innovative and technological collections focused on social and environmental sustainability. It will be an ideal way to see many of the coming Spring/Summer 2023 fashion and jewellery trends.
The focus on tomorrow’s trends will be accentuated by the renewed collaboration with POLI.design, the entity behind Visionaries, another exhibition area specifically devoted to the creations of 125 global designers who will offer their vision of the future and via a multimedia space called Design Direction Fashion Forecast 2025.
Suggestions, ideas and food for thought will be offered as visitors explore the trend changes and key features of the next two years.
The opening talk on Friday, February 17, will be a meeting dedicated to investigating how the metaverse could affect the fashion and jewellery industry. Another discussion will occur on Sunday, February 19, at 11 a.m. Organised by ELLE magazine in collaboration with Hearst, it will see a pool of experts and trendsetters offering fashion tips and insider secrets to help people improve their style with accessories.
The event will also include professional photo shoots and fashion shows organised in conjunction with Class TV Moda to provide further creative input and new ideas.
Novelties will also be present in a space called The incubator – Tuttepazzeperbijoux. Maria Elena Capelli has curated the space. It involves fifteen brands showcasing wares, specifically targeting concept stores and jewellery shops that deal with unique or handmade pieces characterised by originality and high quality.
Last but not least, the industry players will be offered the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the experience with the partially simultaneous events MICAM Milano, International Footwear Exhibition, MIPEL International Leather Goods and Fashion Accessory Exhibition, and TheOneMilano, International Exhibition of Outerwear and Haute-à-porter, which will all be held from 19 to February 22, always at Fiera Milano.
Some of the exhibitors
A full range of innovative offerings will outline the near future trends, always inspired by research, innovation, craftsmanship and, of course, sustainability.
Kiniby Moda Mare will also display a line of swimwear made from biodegradable polyamide. It has a lovely background story as it is based on slow and ethical fashion, using craft bijoux made by Nepali women.
Many exhibitors feel that accessories, particularly jewels and bijoux, will be the real stars of the next Spring/Summer 2023 season, as they come in many shapes, geometries and materials, making them perfect for instantly changing the look of an outfit.
Accessories on display include maxi bracelets such as those by Natama Design and Nikolas Frangos, which cover half the arm to the elbow. The exhibition will also show new necklaces made from metals with shiny finishes, pearls and retro-style cameos tailor-made by Amlè, alongside some from Katerina Vassou Jewellery.
The earrings should also prove highly popular, particularly those in large sizes, such as those created by Ayala Bar, Lebole Maison and Daria Pacelli.
Even technology will make its presence felt with collections of elegant Smartwatches. It will be a perfect synthesis between design and innovation, adding a sparkling twist to the day-by-day outfits proposed by Liujo, Bikkembergs, and Techmade.
If we had to pick some not-to-be-missed exhibitors, they would include Verde Fashion, a leading Greek brand that creates clothing and accessory collections that anticipate new fashion trends. And Miriam Nori, a designer who goes beyond art with her textured, imperfect, fluid and elegant sculptural jewels.
And then there is Clemì, with handbags and accessories that convey the deep meaning of commitment, research and refinement, and the versatile, light, handmade jewels of Nina Tra le Nuvole, which are perfect for every time of the day and special occasions.
The Milan brand Karakorum will be present, showcasing its passion for fashion with original and colourful collections of clothing, fashion accessories and costume jewellery.
Satellite Paris creates unique and timeless jewels like the women who have inspired them. These reflect the know-how of haute couture and a taste for precious things by combining different materials and Anartxy’s forged steel creations that, combined with noble materials, mix different shades, textures and shapes.
