Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its presence in Europe by opening the newly-built Iberostar Slavija, the Group’s third hotel in Montenegro, which will commence operating on 1 April. The addition of the five-star hotel to its catalogue as part of its commitment to the region known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”.
The newly built Iberostar Slavija hotel, which is 100% electric, will be operating free of single-use plastics in all its areas. The move allows the Iberostar Group to strengthen its sustainability proposal in the destination, as Montenegro recently celebrated its 30 years as an Ecological State.
The group currently has two hotels in Montenegro, which are located in the towns of Herceg Novi and Budva. The location of these two hotels allows guests to easily discover the historical and cultural richness of the area and, of course, its natural beauty.
Javier Muñoz, Iberostar Group Operations Director for Europe, Middle East and the African regions, said, “The opening of Iberostar Slavija reinforces our commitment to one of the most important emerging destinations in the Adriatic and confirms our commitment to responsible tourism and to continue offering a quality product to our customers”.
The Iberostar Slavija overlooks the Adriatic and is only a few metres from Slovenska Beach, one of the best beaches in Montenegro. It aims to offer a luxury experience with breathtaking views and complete Spa Sensations with a sauna, hammam and Turkish bath.
One of the major calling cards of the Iberostar Slavija is its nine floors crowned by a rooftop infinity pool that offers visitors a unique panoramic view of Budva, a charming medieval town just a few minutes walk from the hotel, and the sea with the island of Sveti Nikola as a beautiful backdrop.
The Iberostar Slavija has 126 rooms, all of which have been designed with great attention to detail, making it an ideal place to relax in a privileged environment with a unique set of details that combine tradition, culture and beauty.
The Iberostar Group’s commitment to promote and continue leading the way in responsible tourism is present in every corner of the hotel. With this new opening, Iberostar aligns its strategy with the three pillars of its Wave of Change movement: promoting the circular economy, encouraging responsible fish consumption and improving coastal health.
