Kross Studio has unveiled a new KS 06 Central Floating Tourbillon edition, which features an exquisite turquoise stone dial. The new KS 06 Titanium Turquoise edition marks the first time the collection has utilised a dial crafted from natural stone.

The new limited-run collection builds upon the success of the KS 06 series. Its design evokes the timeless allure of natural stones while maintaining Kross Studio’s signature fusion of modern design and horological innovation.

Encased in a sleek 42mm titanium case, the open-worked dial offers an unobstructed view of the intricate mechanism of the central floating tourbillon, framed by the beauty of the turquoise stone set on the fixed hour wheel. A black calfskin strap completes the look, adding a touch of warmth and sophistication.

Innovation Meets Tradition
This unique timepiece preserves the core elements of the KS 06 collection, including the signature central floating tourbillon set under a crystal dome. The oversized sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective and anti-static coatings, highlights the movement’s sophisticated workings, offering a stunning visual experience from all angles.

The timepieces come with a 42mm case crafted from grade 5 titanium, showcasing manual finishing. The middle band and lugs are satin-finished, polished, and bevelled, as is the time-setting pusher button. The bezel and case back have also been polished, which was far from a simple task with the grade 5 titanium components.

On the case back, the central crown is circularly satin-finished, bevelled, polished, and stretched along its perimeter. The watch also benefits from Kross Studio’s patented, pending interchangeable strap system, which ensures maximum comfort for the wearer.

The KS 7’006 Movement: A Technical Marvel
Driving this exclusive edition is the KS 7’006 movement, a manually wound marvel consisting of 220 meticulously crafted components. The key functions—winding, energy storage, regulation, and display—are ingeniously arranged at the centre of the plate. This unique design enables the barrel to take up nearly the entire movement’s surface, delivering an impressive 120-hour power reserve while maintaining exceptional chronometric performance.

The tourbillon, balance wheel, and fixed second wheel are elevated above the movement and hands, overlooking the barrel. Kross Studio’s central floating tourbillon, a patented technical revolution, offers a unique perspective on its complex mechanics.

Another innovation of the KS 7’006 movement is the peripheral hour display mechanism, achieved through a planetary gear system mounted on two ball bearings, which frees the tourbillon from obstruction. The hands of the KS 06 watch are rhodium-plated and filled with white Super-LumiNova®.

A New Winding System
As in every Kross Studio watch, the crown directly engages with the barrel. It is ingeniously centred on the back of the case. Winding the movement and setting the time are accomplished by rotating the crown with a finger—an effortlessly user-friendly mechanism yet so complex to achieve.

Kross Studio engineers were challenged to conceive a sealing system that would allow the passage of a mobile winding stem through the centre of the case back glass while ensuring optimal movement clarity. While a traditional case usually requires only one or two back seals, the KS 06 case requires nearly ten to ensure waterproofing.

A Limited Edition for Discerning Collectors
The KS 06 Titanium Turquoise edition is a very limited edition of just ten timepieces, which should make it very appealing to collectors. Its unique turquoise dial, a blend of cutting-edge innovation and natural elegance, is a fantastic example of Kross Studio’s commitment to pushing watchmaking boundaries.
