The Metallics Collection by Ledbury Studio has injected a decadent vibe into this exquisitely tailored apartment in central London.
Designed by Charlie Smallbone, founder of Ledbury Studio, the kitchen packs a visual punch with a winning combination of antiqued copper and black-stained oak.
Continuing Charlie’s trademark mix of metals, aged-brass accents punctuate the space. Cue a mixer tap from Perrin & Rowe and a hanging rail above the worktop.
To make sure the kitchen stands the test of time, Bianco Macaubas Quartzite was chosen for the splashback and worktops. Harder than granite with rich, marble-like veining, Quartzite is a luxurious but sustainable choice.
A splash of Marine Blue paint from Little Greene enhances the beauty of the natural materials.
Owner Philippa Beck has added blue velvet bar stools with a brushed brass base from Danetti to tie the various elements together.
“I was so excited when I saw the Metallics Collection for the first time,” says Philippa. “It was the kitchen I’d had in my head but hadn’t seen before. I particularly like the fact that the furniture looks like standalone pieces, not standard square kitchen cabinets – and I love the copper!”
Parquet flooring defines the kitchen area in the open-plan living room.
Copperfronted units [Below left] house the ovens and integrated fridge-freezer, with cupboards above.
The glass unit [Above right] with a distinctive dropped-height worktop makes a display of beautiful glassware.
