LiBi, a travel industry e-commerce platform, has added four iconic UK hotels to its ever-growing portfolio of shoppable stays allowing guests to buy the best parts of their experiences – now live across more than 3,000 rooms in 49 properties since launching in late 2022.

The Devon and Cornwall-based Philema Group of hotels, together with The Lowry Hotel, become the latest names to join LiBi’s impressive portfolio, which already includes The Headland Hotel and Spa, the Alan Hotel in the heart of Manchester, The Rothay Garden in the Lake District, and aparthotel group Staycity.

The tech platform’s mission is to add incremental revenue streams for hotel and accommodation partners, build ‘try before you buy’ relationships for brands with their customer base, and enhance both the stay and long-lasting memories for guests.

LiBi co-founder, Suzanne Mahoney, said, “The Lowry Hotel and the Philema Group both deal in high-end experiences for their guests, so being part of that service culture of meeting high-level guest expectations is a strong endorsement of what we can bring to our partnerships – which is about seeing the future of travel retail differently.

“We understand high street pressures; that’s why we offer the brand experience culture customers want in a way no other channel can deliver – ensuring we add no extra workload to hotel teams’ day. We also get the need for loyalty strategies for all parties, so add valuable memory recall for our partners’ audiences.

“We share the data that makes every choice smart and well-educated, bringing brand backstories and values to life through the portals we create for each and every hospitality partner. Ultimately, we ensure the LiBi meaning of ‘Love It, Buy It’ is achieved through relevant, engaging and well-placed storytelling.”

LiBi is a travel industry first, offering bespoke e-commerce sites for hotel and rental owners that allow their guests to ‘Shop Their Stay’ pre, during and post-stay. Guests can either click a link or scan a QR code to access the hotels’ e-commerce site using a blend of digital and physical key touchpoints.

All commercial transactions and customer service elements flow hassle-free through LiBi’s drop-ship home delivery model, meaning properties won’t need to hold any inventory – the items will be delivered directly to the guests’ home without any requirements from the hospitality venue.

The latest partnership with The Philema Group includes its three hotels. Boringdon Hall Hotel & Spa, on the outskirts of Dartmoor, is a 42-room, luxury 5-star manor house with an award-winning spa and a 4 AA Rosette and Michelin Star restaurant.

While the adult-only Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa overlooks the namesake beach in Newquay and features the highest-rated spa in Cornwall on Tripadvisor, finally, the contemporary Esplanade Hotel, also overlooking Fistral Beach, is a high-quality family destination.

The Lowry Hotel, located in Manchester’s chic new Chapel Wharf area, is a modern and impressive space where guests can experience unrivalled service, relax in the Re:Treat spa and dine in its award-winning River Restaurant.

LiBi’s consumer brands include Hypnos, Tielle Luxury Bedlinen, Robert Welch, Comfort Zone, The White Company, L’Occitane, Bramley, Alessi, Edmunds Cocktails, Pulseroll, Jay-Be Sofa beds, Art Loves, Topaz Swimwear, SVP Jewellery, Spirit of Manchester Gin & Vodka, Comfort Zone, Life Fitness, Red Dog Glass Design, Bert Frank and Fermoyle Pottery.

It has also partnered with local artists and artisans such as Gemma Lessinger, Lyndsey Vowel, Manuel Salazar and Kimberley Beesley.

Mahoney concluded, “Based on our years of experience in the travel retail world, we spotted a gap in the market and are already reaping the rewards for all parties, with our tech meeting both consumer and business insights.

We are tackling challenges, creating opportunities, and building a hugely relevant new channel that brings the best of digital, retail and lifestyle realities together. We look forward to revealing more brand and hotel partners as our pace of growth continues.”
