Meros, the shared ownership platform that exclusively uses Sunseeker yachts, has officially welcomed a Sunseeker 95 Yacht to its range of offerings.

Following the impact on tourism during the pandemic, the global yacht charter market is expected to bounce back with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25.6% during the forecast period from 2020 to 2028. The market increase is expected to be driven by a growing number of high-net-worth individuals and their desire for luxury cruising worldwide, with motor yachts being the preferred vessel.

The European market was valued at over 50% market share of the overall global yacht charter market in 2019 thanks to its favourable climate and natural beauty, principally governed by Mediterranean countries, including Spain, where Meros bases its yachts, Italy, Greece, Croatia and France. In addition, the UK, Germany and some Nordic countries form major markets for the yacht chartering business. The region is also home to one million people with a net worth of 5-50 million Euros, with 181,000 based in the UK.

Conceptualised by Meros and perfected by Sunseeker, the ‘Meros Sunseeker Co-Ownership’ combines the dream of luxury yacht ownership with the convenience of a charter, allowing various levels of entry to co-ownership with beautiful new Sunseeker vessels available to all, whatever their experience.

The initiative, which launched last year, is set to revolutionise and expand the yacht ownership market, paving the way for a new generation of yacht owners to participate in and enjoy this luxurious lifestyle with one of the world’s most discerning yacht brands. Meros prides itself on offering the full experience and a unique 5* standard, whether that be the equipment onboard, service or culinary experience. Meros manage ownership in association with the team at the Sunseeker London Group, which brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to the partnership.

Martin Huber, Managing Director at Meros, said, “We’re delighted to be expanding our fleet with another beautiful Sunseeker. The brand represents the best of what the industry has to offer and gives our clients style and elegance matched by innovative design and engineering excellence. It’s another step in being the best and only way to access the superyacht community via co-ownership. We not only focus on the physical ownership and quality of a vessel, but we give our clients the ability to grow with us, utilising the partnerships created and events held throughout the year to travel, experience and network.”

The new 95 yacht is available for the 2023 season and has been redesigned by Meros to suit its co-ownership model specifically. Highlights of this model include her master cabin found on the main deck and the newly configured flybridge – housing both a personal watercraft and jacuzzi.

In what is a first for Sunseeker for a vessel of this size, the Sunseeker 95 is fitted with a five-cabin configuration, including the incredible master, happily sleeping a family or group of 12.

It is Meros’ most luxurious project yet, a competitive new addition to the fleet and an evolution of one of Sunseeker’s most successful models. The yacht offers the full package, coming fully crewed and managed by Meros with access to a Yamaha WaveRunner, two Seabobs, Audi eFoil, SUP, inflatables, towables, wakeboarding/waterskiing equipment and a Williams Jet Tender.
