Puente Romano Beach Resort in Andalucía has unveiled a new state-of-the-art gym with bespoke biomechanical analysis which studies how the body moves along with results-driven personal training programs created by world-class sports champions.
New for 2020, hotel residents will have access to the 648sqm facility, which is designed to help guests of all ages and fitness levels improve their physical and emotional health and wellbeing, and reach peak physical condition.
Guests at Puente Romano Health & Fitness will benefit from biomechanical analysis using biomarkers such as body composition, heart rate and blood pressure, alongside muscular and joint movement assessment. The results are used to establish athletic performance, reduce injury and to develop bespoke training routines that are unique to the individual.
New amenities include a spin studio, with virtual routes displayed on a big screen, a boxing space, equipped with its very own boxing ring, and a restorative room dedicated to low-impact workouts such as barre, yoga and aero-yoga, Pilates, Qigong and Tai Chi.
The gym also encompasses a dedicated cardio and strength training area, fully equipped with the latest Technogym fitness technology. Guests can work out to an upbeat soundtrack as the facility is also kitted out with DJ decks to keep motivation flowing.
Health & Fitness Manager, Mario Simón García, is a former a member of the Spanish national Kung Fu team and championship medal winner and can lead guests in Kung Fu, Kickboxing and Muay Thai classes as well as personal training.
Other trainers at Health & Fitness include former Kickboxing and Muay Thai champions who have represented their national teams, ensuring access to professional athlete training is second to none.
Further specialist offerings at Puente Romano Health & Fitness include restorative alignment, breathwork and qigong to banish muscular and mental tension.
Puente Romano Health & Fitness also launches an on-site clinic managed by Executive Health; providing comprehensive health diagnostics and expert advice on nutrition. This includes advanced body screening, providing information on heart and digestive health. The cutting-edge technology can detect illnesses and is a preventive approach to health. Consultations will take place privately on site.
Following an intense workout, guests will be able to relax over in the resort’s Six Senses Spa, which is home to a hydrotherapy pool, cold plunge pool, herbal steam room and Hamman.
Puente Romano Health & Fitness is only open to hotel residents at Puente Romano and Nobu Marbella. In accordance with the hotel’s latest safety measures, guests using the facilities will be required to book in advance and complete a pre-arrival form.
For those looking to enjoy a private group class or a one-on-one personal training session, a consultation will need to be booked in advance with Mario Simón García or one of the other expert trainers.
