On 15th March 2025, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz will welcome experienced and internationally renowned hotelier Simon Spiller as its new General Manager. Spiller will also be part of the resort’s management team. He succeeds Milos Colovic, who, after more than six successful years at the resort, will take on new professional challenges in February 2025.

With Simon Spiller, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz gains a leader with over 25 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry. A Swiss native, Spiller’s impressive career has taken him to some of the world’s most renowned properties in Europe, the USA, Africa, and Asia.

In his new role, he will take over management of the Grand Hotels: 247 rooms, the unique thermal spa and a diverse range of restaurants and event programmes. He will join the Business Management Board which also includes the CEO, CFO and Chief of People & Culture.

As a trained chef and graduate of the renowned EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne, Spiller started his career in the F&B sector of leading Swiss hotels. His first step abroad was as a management trainee at the Four Seasons Hotel “The Pierre” in New York in 1999.

Further positions at Four Seasons in Berlin, Austin, Vancouver and Dubai followed.

In 2008, Spiller gained his first management experience as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Raffles Dubai, where he also supported projects in Beijing and Mecca. From 2009, he worked at Fairmont in Cairo as Director of Operations and later as Executive Assistant Manager, F&B, before taking on the position of General Manager at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah in Bali in 2011.

In 2015, his path took him to the Brenners Park Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden before he moved to the Eden Roc Ascona as General Manager in 2019. In 2015, Spiller completed further training at the UNIL University of Lausanne, where he completed an Executive MBA in Management & Corporate Finance.
