A blend of French baking techniques and creativity
Synonymous with traditional French viennoiserie, SOFT THUNDER is all about enjoyment and casual luxury. Since the opening of its first store in 2021, the brand has captivated pastry lovers with a range of sought-after creations, including flaky viennoiserie, cinnamon rolls, “Grand Palmier”, and Unicorn Puffs.
In addition to the delicate appearance and innovative flavours, the brand’s success lies in its solid French baking techniques. The brand also remains committed to operating an in-house bakery within the store, ensuring guests enjoy fresh-from-the-oven products.
Introducing a bakery café to the local dining scene has always been one of the brand’s missions, which did not materialise until they came across this prestigious location near Three Pacific Place. The 2000 sq. ft café is designed as an urban hideaway with a laid-back vibe from the American West Coast.
Flagship-exclusive new items with savouries, beverages and pistachio-flavoured products
The flagship bakery café features a dine-in area and a more expansive selection of baked goods. The newly launched “Crème Caramel Danish” is a decadent treat with layers of texture and flavours. A number of popular pistachio items will be offered, from the beloved “Pistachio Croissant” to the new creations, including “Pistachio Unicorn Puff” and “Pistachio Latte”, which is made with 100% natural pistachio paste.
Another highlight is the improved recipe for the “Custard Tart”, which comes from rounds of trial and error, resulting in a crunchier texture. By the way, do not miss the new homemade bagels with savoury fillings!
SOFT THUNDER partners with local coffee roaster ROASTWORK to serve artisan coffee. A bespoke house blend with a “nutty and chocolatey flavour” is created for SOFT THUNDER, which pairs well with bread and pastries. Customers also have a choice of a fruity blend, which boasts floral notes and a hint of berries.

It encapsulates the West Coast’s laid-back vibe of North America and brings it into bustling Hong Kong.
Pacific rim-inspired design elements such as volcanic basalt stone, metal lava foam, and pine wood are incorporated into the café.
A seven-meter-long handcrafted sandstone counter takes centre stage at the café to display the artistic baked goods. The use of stainless steel veneer and concrete panels seamlessly blends natural aesthetics with minimalism.
Grab yourself a window seat and bask in abundant natural daylight, or embrace the tranquillity in the discrete space and insulate yourself from the hustle and bustle of the city.
SOFT THUNDER has also collaborated with MiiR from Seattle to launch co-branded merch such as tumblers and coffee mugs for guests to enjoy their drinks anywhere, anytime.
