What is it with tourism and fudge? Travel to any small coastal or seaside town and you are sure to find fudge in a number of sweet shops.
Fudge is not just something we eat on a regular basis but something we devour and mindfully eat as a guilty pleasure whenever we are on holiday. It’s essentially a fusion of melted chocolate, sugar, butter and cream but its popularity has seen it being transformed into gourmet style desserts. As a result, a growing number of department stores display the most mouth-watering flavours in their counters to tantalise everyone’s taste buds.
Step forward Fudge Kitchen’s Gourmet Fudge. Thanks to their passion for fudge, they have been perfecting the handmade product using only natural ingredients and have earned their way into the prestigious Selfridges store for thousands to sample the delicacy. From this October, the supplier will be producing its gourmet fudge for five of Selfridges’ own label ranges including a British Fudge Selection and traditional fudge gift boxes.
From Drinking Fudge to Fudge Sauce to Dipped Fudge Sticks to Fudge miniatures and cake formats, fudge has entered luxury sectors that it never thought possible. It has acquired a gorgeously gift packaged confidence and embraced over 40 edgy flavours, ranging from Sea Salted Caramel to Vintage Vanilla and Walnut to a whole selection of Puddings, immortalized in fudge form and a range of Chocolate Chilli recipes in varying strengths of heat.
It is now being shipped around the world from New Zealand to France, and from Italy to the US.
CHOCOLATE INDULGENCE SELECTION
Latest on the launch pad is the Chocolate Indulgence Selection. Nine hand-made, hand decorated squares of creamy gourmet butter fudge, made in small batches by an artisan staff, using only the finest, natural ingredients; all beautifully gift boxed and covering off every cocoa coupling you could conceive of.
The only problem is which one first…? Dark Chocolate Pistachio, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, White Chocolate & Raspberry, Belgian Chocolate Swirl, Double Trouble, Hazelnut Heaven, Rich Chocolate Classic, Chilli Chocolate or Chocolate Fruit & Nuts? Our personal favourite here at Luxurious Magazine is the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt – that is until we’re offered the White Chocolate & Raspberry.
With Christmas just months away, the boxes are ideal to give as gifts. They are available through www.fudgekitchen.co.uk and from this Autumn through selected stores.
