Just in time for Christmas, The Witchery’s brand-new online shop is bringing a unique selection of Scottish craftsmanship, luxury festive gifts, and The Witchery merchandise to customers worldwide.
Today, Edinburgh’s renowned luxury destination hotel, The Witchery by James Thomson, unveils its brand-new online shop, offering a curated collection of exclusive products that reflect the brand’s distinctive style and commitment to Scottish craftsmanship.
The launch expands The Witchery’s legacy following the successful introduction of The Witchery Shop, located opposite the iconic Witchery dining rooms on The Royal Mile.
In response to growing demand from locals and visitors and the successful launch of the physical The Witchery Shop, The Witchery has introduced an online experience showcasing the best of Scotland’s creative talent and traditional skills.
The shop reflects the same dedication to quality that has made The Witchery a beloved Edinburgh institution, with each item carefully selected to embody the elegance and charm of the venue.
Perfectly timed for the festive season, The Witchery’s online shop offers a range of unique, high-quality gifts, making it the ideal destination for those seeking special presents with a magical touch.
The Witchery’s online shop features a ‘Christmas’ section, offering a myriad of gifts such as Chocolatia Candied Orange, Luxury Cashmere Socks, Whisky, Honeycomb and Gullane Glögg, all crafted in Scotland by artisan makers.
In addition to these festive delights, the shop showcases an array of accessories and homeware, including The Witchery Tweed Merino Collection. This stunning collection combines timeless Scottish Tweed with contemporary design elements.
Items in the collection include cushions, a covered notebook, and a selection of hand-sewn bow ties, ties, hats and special gifts for pets—all created with a nod to The Witchery’s storied heritage and Edinburgh’s rich history.
The bespoke Witchery Tartan, designed exclusively for The Witchery by renowned Scottish textile designer Araminta Campbell, adds a distinct Scottish flair. The hand-sewn pieces are crafted by artisans in Scotland, contributing to the sustainability of local communities.
A standout feature of the shop is the Leather Collection, which was born through a collaboration with Edinburgh-based leather goods specialist MacKenzie Leather. Brimming with character and elegance, the Leather Collection includes weekender bags, sporran bags, and smaller leather bags. All are embellished with The Witchery’s logo and lined with The Witchery tartan, adding a touch of The Witchery’s magic to timeless pieces.
The online shop features a selection of homeware, including bespoke The Witchery candles, aprons, tea towels, cushions and artwork, including a limited-edition print in collaboration with MinaLima, specially curated by the visionary designers behind the graphic universe of the Harry Potter films and other iconic projects.
To celebrate 45 years since he opened The Witchery and Edinburgh’s 900th Anniversary, James Thomson commissioned MinaLima to create an artwork inspired by The Witchery’s history, interiors, and location in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Only 500 signed and stamped prints are available for purchase at £395 each.
Proceeds from these sales will support Edinburgh’s OneCity Trust, which is in keeping with The Witchery’s commitment to giving back to the local community.
Just as The Witchery supports local growers, butchers, fishermen and foragers to create the finest dishes served in The Witchery’s restaurant, the shop showcases the very best of Scotland’s craftsmanship, creative talent and traditional skills. Shoppers can expect to find unique mementos and bespoke products that reflect the distinctive style and elegance of The Witchery at every click of the page.
James Thomson, Owner of The Witchery, commented, “We’re so excited to offer a new way for our guests to connect with The Witchery. The Witchery’s online shop allows us to share a slice of our magical atmosphere and world-class products with people who may not have the chance to visit us in person. It’s the perfect way to bring a touch of The Witchery into your own home.”
The online shop is now live and can be accessed via The Witchery’s official website at www.thewitcheryshop.com.
