There is a huge misconception that all students are broke and only go on camping holidays. This is not always the case. There are some students with enough disposable income to go and play with the rich and famous.
Want to know where they go? Read on.
Ibiza
Let’s all agree that Ibiza is always a destination for students, no matter how concerned your parents may look when you announce this as your chosen holiday destination. But, did you know that Ibiza also has a quieter side of the island? Of course, I can suggest many hotels that specifically invite various DJs and artists, but The Nobu Hotel on Ibiza Bay is perfect if you want to just chill with a view and a cocktail in hand. It makes you think of those ‘chill out’ CDs, from the pool setting and boutique style interior. It’s great for luxury couples or de-stressing weekends. Even its Blow Dry Bar is just what you need for those nights out, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk from the Marina Botafoch.

Côte d’Azur
Southern France will always be a summer destination because it has everything you could possibly need; culture, wine and plenty of sun. Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is a delight in every single way because of its sense of privacy and utmost luxury. Part of the Oekter Collection, which has hotels from Lansborough in London to Le Bristol in Paris, so you know the standard of service will be very high. My favourite part is their Juice Bar, who needs to feel guilty anymore when they go on holiday? Make sure you take advantage of this yachting destination and explore the blue waters up to Monaco, Cannes and even reaching St Tropez. It would be rude not to.

Barcelona
Shame on you for not going to Barcelona yet, it’s my favourite place to go to for that half-city-half-beachy holiday I love to experience. Go to The Hotel Arts which has views of the beach and a seriously cool interior. Don’t get me started on The Spa. It’s incredible and on the 43rd Floor, so just imagine the view. If you decide to go with a group, I would highly recommend a Penthouse suite which can feature up to 3 bedrooms, plus so many other benefits such as your own concierge services, a butler, breakfast ready for you, a MINI Cooper Cabrio for your personal use, and VIP shopping access to La Roca Village.

Or, if you want to immerse yourself in the culture and destination then The Cotton House Hotel is perfect for you. With its famous spiral staircase and traditional interior, for those old school travellers, this is certainly your type of hotel. It’s in the middle of everything, so you don’t need to commute or walk far to get to any of the tourist attractions, restaurants and bars.

Stockholm
The beauty of Stockholm in the summer is that there really is no end or deadline. Why? Because it is forever lit during the night, so unconsciously you will find yourself at a bar for many hours. Of course, you will help yourself to the Princess Cake and Cinnamon Buns (we can’t ignore the Swedish meatballs and seafood platters) but beyond your appetite, you will find yourself lost in the beautiful Old Town. If you like nothing more than to occasionally sit for a ‘Fika’ coffee break and people watch, this destination is perfect for you. Hotel Diplomat is truly the Swedish home you need for your vacation, with its Scandinavian interior, kind staff, a very cool bar/restaurant and even an art gallery. A very sophisticated holiday.

The summer holidays have begun. Don’t scrimp – get out there and enjoy the holidays – the new term will be upon us before you know it.
