It’s not just the high streets finding the current climate tough. Britain’s local pro golf shops are also experiencing difficult times. To help, Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland have launched a new campaign to encourage consumers to #ShopSmall.
The Your Pro Shop Needs campaign was launched on Glenmuir’s Instagram (@glenmuir1891), and Sunderland of Scotland’s Instagram (@sunderlandofscotland) encourages golfers to carry a face covering and browse their collections in-store and reassures them that pro shops are ready to welcome them following all government COVID guidelines.
All pro shops that feature have a chance to win £500 worth of clothing. Pro shops or visitors only need to upload an Instagram story or post of #GlenmuirInStore or #SunderlandInStore and tag @glenmuir1891 or @sunderlandofscotland to be in with a chance to win.
The closing date for entries via Instagram is 31 October 2020.
The Your Pro Shop Needs You campaign has already featured courses such as Royal Dornoch, Brora, Castle Stuart, North Berwick, Royal Aberdeen, Trump Aberdeen and Cruden Bay.
These are in addition to courses further afield such as Royal Montreal in Canada, which is the oldest golf course in North America and Canada.
Mikhel Ruia – Managing Director, Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland adds: “As an independent brand and family business, Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland understand the hardship being faced by small and medium-sized businesses.
We have a responsibility to support our beloved customers in whatever way possible, and this “Your Pro Shop Needs You #ShopSmall” campaign along with our Lockdown Vendor and Online Order Form Platform are just a few of the many initiatives we have implemented to assist our customers in getting through these challenging times.
We are proud to see our clothing at some of the world’s leading courses but are equally proud to see our clothing at local clubs dressing teams, corporates and golfers of every level and generation, all coming together for the love of the game.”
